With bone chilling cold upon us here in College Park Georgia, there is not a lot of outside activity going on.  Our residents here at Southern Oaks Apartments are spending more time indoors which is a perfect time to work on those DIY projects you have been putting off.  If your looking to spruce up your bedroom.  Rather than purchasing expensive duvet covers, why not try these great ideas and create your own duvet cover for your bed.

Iron-Transfer Duvet Cover – For this project you will need a set of light colors sheets and pillowcases, an ink jet printer with color ink and iron-on transfer paper for light fabrics, iron and a pair of scissors.  Now it’s up to your imagination and creativity to pull together clip art or person photos and make a one of a kind customized duvet cover.  View the full set of instructions here.

Anthropologie Ruffled Duvet Copy –  For those who know their way around a sewing machine, this may be the project for you.  Make it uniquely yours by picking out your favorite colored sheets and buttons (full instructions here).

Hopefully you’re feeling inspired, and as always as with any DIY project, have fun.
