Here at Southern Oaks Apartments, kids are back in school, high school and college football has started and ragweed-resized-600fall is in the air. And, so is ragweed.  Weather conditions hear in the metro Atlanta area have provided just the right climate for the fall allergy season to be a whopper.

Try these tips this fall to help minimize your exposure to ragweed:

  • Stay indoors with windows and doors closed as much as possible, especially between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm.  This is when ragweed pollen is at it’s highest concentration in the air.
  • Change your clothes when you get home from being outside.  You don’t want to carry ragweed pollen around with you on your clothing.
  • Shower before bed to help remove ragweed pollen that may have hitched a ride on your hair or skin
