Be serenaded by street performers during your visit!

Don’t miss the 2013 Georgia
Renaissance Festival! Whether you’re a history buff or just there for the party, everyone can enjoy the the themed entertainment, food, and more.

The Festival, which runs every weekend (plus Memorial Day) from April 13-14 through June 2-3, celebrates the 16th century with countless hours of activities. Apart from hundreds of vendors, there are performances in character, and period-themed demonstrations such as jousting and a birds of prey show. There are fine cuisine choices and beverages all over the grounds, and rides and games for every age.

Check out the information on each weekend’s special theme, and if you know a school that might enjoy the educational adventure, look into their student day.

Tickets are available now, including a two-for-one deal for opening weekend only. Purchased in advance, adult tickets are generally $17 ($16 for seniors), children 6 to 12 are $7. Prices at the gate are slightly higher.

Check out this year’s photo contest for pictures of the 2012 festival, or submit yours for a chance to win free tickets to opening weekend! Their Facebook also features a share contest.

Chat with fellow residents about this and other adventures around town on our Southern Oaks Facebook.
