Summer break is almost over for our Southern Oaks kids.  And to help parents with those back to school expenses, the City of Stone Mountain will hold its fifth annual “Back to School Bash” on the lawn of the First Baptist Church Pavilion in downtown Stone Mountain on Saturday, July 26, 2014. This event will provide free school supplies such as paper, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers and much more for students attending our local schools.

Past events have included music and prizes as well as providing education materials for the parents.

Other back to school events include the 8th annual “Back To School Community Health Fair” scheduled for July 19th, from 9 am  to at the Rock of Ages Lutheran Church were everything is FREE.    This event features vision, dental, hearing, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings for both children and adults.  Fill out form 3300, at the event, for school registration and receive a bag of school supplies.
